Michael Land-ish

This reminded me of the style of composition in the more recent Monkey Island games. Pretty nice melodies, but sometimes the flute feels like it clashes with the background a bit, in a sort of non-calculated dissonance sort of way. It's not terribly jarring, but distracting from the sort of whimsical court theme you have going on here.

Nice flow

Everything works pretty well together and one thing flows into the next. This is great chill music.

Good composition

Catchy melody and good background grooving. There's something about the percussion that wears a little thin throughout the track, but pretty much everything else is spot on.

Loops well

It's a nice tune with a decent amount of drive. Pleasant background stuff, with a catchy melodic hook.

Quite nice

Happy enjoyable work with that 8-bit feel and it loops well. Liked the little stops and the well done pitchbends.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. This is pretty much the only place I post my stuff so encouragement is great!

Pretty nice

Piano sample is a bit echoey for my taste in the high registers.
Good supporting background which never overpowers the melody and is never buried by it.

I would agree that the reverb is a bit much at some points. Well, practice makes perfect. Glad to hear you liked this track and thank you for the review. I appreciate it. :)

Not remotely pleasant.

The instruments you are using are... out of tune and in the high and obnoxious register.
The attack and decay on a lot of your leads makes them seem out of time.
This is kind of a train wreck from a mastering perspective.

1. You are clearly missing the point of a 16bit remix and are rating a song badly based on the fact that it doesn't fit your personal tastes. Why do this to me?

2. There is no attack or decay in any part of this song.

A little directionless

This doesn't feel like it's building to anything. The melody is pretty scattershot and doesn't really evoke anything.
Sound choices aren't bad, but this is a bit too meandering to catch my ears.

Relaxing

Some of the cutoffs on instruments are a little abrupt. But this was pretty good with the mood setting.

Meh

Ambient music works on interesting aural concoctions and SHIFTS in those textures. I heard one texture with occasional interruptions... Not a terribly interesting ambient piece.
I guess it's good enough for a loop and usage in a game though, which I'm sure was your intention.
